Veterinary Nurse
Dayle is a Trainee Veterinary Nurse at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. Her days are full of hands-on tasks that help the clinic run smoothly. She helps prepare animals for surgery, takes blood samples, runs in-house tests and sets up fluid therapy. She also assists with minor procedures and keeps the hospital clean and organised.
What motivates her most is helping animals feel safe and cared for, especially when they come in unwell or stressed.
Dayle has always wanted to work with animals. She enjoys being part of their care and finds real purpose in helping them feel comfortable and secure. She has a particular interest in wildlife and loves being involved when injured animals are brought to the clinic. Supporting their recovery and seeing them released again is something she finds deeply rewarding.
“Helping animals feel safe and cared for is what keeps me going.”
Some of Dayle’s favourite memories come from caring for patients who stay in the hospital for longer periods. She enjoys getting to know them and watching their progress day by day. She also loves seeing long-term clients bring in pets she first met as babies and watching those animals grow over the years. Those experiences remind her why she chose this career. Her teammates would describe her as outgoing, fun, driven and caring, with a sensitive and empathetic nature.
One thing Dayle appreciates about Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital is how supportive the team is. Everyone works together and encourages one another through busy days, and she enjoys being part of a group that shares the same passion for animals and kindness towards each other.
Outside of work, Dayle spends time with friends, tries new food spots and enjoys long walks or hikes. She also loves relaxing at home with her two cats, Drac and Lucifer. She has a soft spot for Sphynx cats and hopes to continue growing her skills as she moves forward in her nursing career.
