Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Cybil is a Veterinary Surgeon at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. She cares for the health and well-being of her patients and enjoys the balance of medicine and hands-on work that comes with the job.
Surgery is the part of her day she looks forward to most, because she can see the difference it makes to an animal right away. She also enjoys the lighter moments in practice, especially when she is giving puppy or kitten vaccinations and helping families start life with a new pet.
Dr Cybil grew up on a ranch and dairy farm in Michigan, surrounded by animals of every kind. When any of them became unwell, she always wanted to help. That early experience led her to study veterinary medicine and develop a strong interest in surgery and surgical oncology. She brings a calm and steady approach to her work and enjoys caring for cats and dogs with gentle natures and big personalities.
“Helping animals live healthier, happier lives is the reason I became a vet.”
For Dr Cybil, the heart of Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital is its people. She values the supportive environment created by the experienced vets and nurses around her. She enjoys how smoothly the team works together and how willing everyone is to help one another when things get busy. Those small acts of teamwork are what define the hospital for her and reflect the care shown to every patient.
Outside of work, Dr Cybil spends time gardening and being with her family. She also cares for a miniature donkey named Las, a goat named Rose, and a lively group of nine cheeky chickens. They keep her busy and bring plenty of personality to her home life.
