Dr Melody is part of the veterinary team at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. Her days include consults, hands-on patient care, and continual learning as the clinic grows. She balances her work with family life, which gives her a clear understanding of how important a calm, well-supported clinic routine is.
Dr Melody enjoys working with dogs and finds genuine satisfaction in helping them feel relaxed, safe, and on the path to recovery.
Dr Melody has been drawn to animals for as long as she can remember. As she grew older, that interest sat comfortably beside her fascination with health and biology, which eventually led her toward veterinary medicine. She has since worked in a range of small animal clinics and found herself particularly interested in dermatology. Her team describes her as calm and considered, and those qualities guide the way she works with patients each day.
“Helping animals feel better is the part of the job I enjoy most.”
Dr Melody appreciates the size and experience of the team at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. Working with a broad group of vets gives her more opportunities to learn and strengthens the way complex cases are managed. She believes the clinic is at its best when multiple vets think through cases together and combine their knowledge to support the patient’s outcome.
Away from work, Dr Melody enjoys spending time outdoors. Beaches, parks, and walking trails are regular destinations for her and her family. At home, she has three pets: Latte the Chihuahua cross, Mocha the Jack Russell Terrier cross, and Oreo the rabbit. Each one brings their own personality and keeps life lively.
