Studying Cert IV Vet Nursing
Veterinary Nurse
Claudia is part of the nursing team at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. Most of her day is spent caring for patients in surgery and keeping a close eye on their anaesthesia and recovery.
She has a strong interest in emergency situations and enjoys the focus and teamwork that comes with fast-paced cases. Her passion for animals is what first drew her into the industry, and being able to help them when they need it most is what keeps her motivated.
Claudia began her training with a Certificate II in Animal Studies and is now working through her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has a natural talent for monitoring anaesthesia and a genuine love for brachycephalic breeds. One of her most memorable moments was assisting with her first French Bulldog caesarean, an experience that cemented her interest in surgical nursing.
“Being able to help animals in need is the best part of my job.”
Claudia values the fast, coordinated teamwork at the hospital. When an emergency arrives, nurses and vets move into action without hesitation. That sense of unity and purpose reflects what she loves most about Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital. She also appreciates that she can simply be herself at work. Her teammates know her as funny, bubbly and full of energy, and she brings that positivity with her every day.
Away from the hospital, Claudia enjoys planting and spending time with her French Bulldog, Maggie. She has a big soft spot for Frenchies and loves that she gets to work with the breed both at home and in the clinic.
