Care, calm, and a focus on doing right by every patient

Dr Man Yi Leong is a veterinarian at Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital, bringing over two decades of experience in clinical practice. Her day centres on providing thoughtful, patient-focused care for the animals she sees. Whether she is working through a consult, reviewing a treatment plan, or supporting a family through a diagnosis, her goal stays the same. She aims to do what is best for each patient and give them every chance to recover well.

Dr Man Yi enjoys the variety that comes with general practice and the opportunity to care for a wide range of small animal patients. She values the steady progress that comes from seeing pets through treatment and recovery, and her team describes her as calm, caring, and consistent in the way she supports both animals and their families.

Following a path shaped by a love of animals and medicine

Dr Man Yi has always been drawn to animals and has been interested in how the body works, which made veterinary medicine a natural direction for her. The combination of science, problem-solving, and hands-on care appealed to her from the beginning. She enjoys the everyday contact with patients and the opportunity to help them recover, grow, and stay well through different stages of life.

“When the day is done, I know I have given my best for my patients.”

What she values about the clinic

Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital is the fourth clinic Dr Man Yi has worked in, and she sees it as one of the largest and most rewarding environments she has been part of. She appreciates the diversity of cases, the strong team culture, and the support that comes from working alongside a broad group of skilled veterinarians. For her, the clinic is at its best when everyone works together. The people make the team, and the shared effort helps create consistent care for patients and a positive experience for families.

Life outside the clinic

Outside of work, Dr Man Yi enjoys spending time on her hobbies and caring for her own pets. Her home includes a Keeshond called Mushi and Gohan, a domestic shorthair cat. Both keep her busy and bring plenty of personality to her days. She prefers a latte when she needs a moment of calm and has a soft spot for the Keeshond as her favourite breed.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes. We reserve a number of same day consultations for urgent concerns. Please call early so we can help you as soon as possible.

Can I get repeat medications?

Yes. Repeat prescriptions can be requested by phoning the clinic. Some medications may require a check-up first to ensure they are still appropriate and safe for your pet.

Do you have in-house blood testing and imaging?

Yes. We offer full blood testing onsite, along with X ray and ultrasound, plus access to mobile CT for more complex cases.

What if my pet has an emergency?

Call us straight away as you are making your way to the clinic, giving a brief description of the emergency so we can be prepared for your pet’s arrival. Depending on the emergency, in certain circumstances, we may direct you to the nearest 24 hour emergency centre.

How Long Are Your Consultations?

Our consults are longer than standard appointments. This gives us time to examine your pet carefully, talk through our findings and answer any questions without rushing.
